finds to fancy

i know it's super late in the day, but i didn't have anything good to share this morning so i decided that instead of picking something less than awesome for finds to fancy, i'd wait and post after i hit the estate sales. here's what i fancy most from my finds today...

it's a glass battery jar! up until about the 1930's batteries consisted of conductive liquids and a few other components and were housed in large, usually rectangular, glass jars. i've been looking for one for awhile now, to use as a terrarium, and spotted this Pyrex one today. it even has little hand holds molded into the glass on the sides!
